karthik cPanel is the most used control panel in Internet World, but their cost is very high. Also, it will not support Debian-based Linux operating systems like Ubuntu.
So, there are many cPanel alternatives available, but most of them are not free.

If you are the sole user of the server, VPS or cloud instance, then Webmin is the best choice. Instead of having no control panels, having Webmin is a piece of cake. It is more Server Administrator oriented, it may not look easy for end-users who are coming from cPanel. But definitely worth the try, you’ll get used to it in a few days.
Virtualmin is like an add-on to Webmin, it is the best free alternative to cPanel, multiple users can be created. It is a little bit tricky to configure everything. But, as a server administrator, it will be very useful to host multiple users, domains using Virtualmin.
